Q 1. Is this virtual class or in person?
A. This is in person class.
Q 2. Do I need to be a member of GCNA to enroll my child/ren?
A. Yes, you must have an active Family membership in order to enroll your child/ren into the Nepali Class. You must maintain an Active status throughout the school year.
Q 3. Who should I contact to know more about Nepali pathshala?

Q 4. What is the maximum number of students in a class?
A. Currently, There are 70 active students in Nepali Pathshala. Additional applications will be held as wait list.
Q 5. Will all the students be in the same Classroom?
A. No, there will be two different classrooms.
Q 6. When will the class start?
A. Current session (2025-2026) starting from August 3rd, 2025, and is extended until May 17th 2026. New session (2026-2027) will start from August 2026. Please refer to the school calendar on school website.
Q 7. What day and time classes are going to be held?
A. Every Sunday from 3:00 PM until 4:30 pm.
Q 8. What is the age limit to join the class?
A. Five years and up. Students 5 years old must be enrolled in Kindergarten to be eligible to enroll in Nepali Pathshala.
Q 9. What is the class Enrollment process?
In order to enroll your child to Nepali Pathshala:
A. You must have an active GCNA Family membership and your Family membership should remain Active throughout the school year.
B. You must pay a registration fee during the time of registration.
C. You must agree to our Snacks distribution program.
D. You must sign waivers as provided in the enrollment form.
Q 10. What is the Snacks distribution program?
A. GCNA pathshala provides snacks to students during the class. Parents are kindly requested to indicate any food allergies on the registration form to ensure the safety of their child.
Q 11. Can I enroll my child/ren in the middle of the school session?
A. No, you cannot. Enrollment can be done during the enrollment period. *In case of special enrollment, school will publish the enrollment notice.
Q 12. When will the next registration open?
A. Enrollment for next session will start in July 2026. Exact date and time will be announced later.
Q 13. How much do I need to pay for the enrollment?
A. There is a $150/student registration fee for the full school year due at the time of registration. This fee covers books, a notebook, pencils, and snacks.
* In case of special enrollment, the registration fee will be communicated based on the total classes left.
Q 14. Is there any monthly tuition fee?
A. No, there is no monthly tuition fee, but we do appreciate your generosity. If you want to donate, please click the donate button on our website. We use this amount for Nepali classroom rent, stationary, children’s field trip etc.
Q 15. What does one school year mean?
A. Our school year starts from August 3rd 2025 and will end on May 17th 2026. The school will remain closed on long weekends and in Summer break.
Q 16. Can my child/ren participate on Nepali music and dance class?
A. Yes, Students are welcome to participate, but consistent attendance is required. Participation in music and dance activities is encouraged as part of programs organized by GCNA.
Q 17. How can I support Nepali Pathshala?
A. You can contribute in many ways- by volunteering to teach, donating money, providing snacks or donating books. For more details, please reach out to the Pathshala coordinator.
Q 18. Do you have a maximum age for students?
A. No, we don’t have maximum age limit for students.
Q 19. Is there a calendar of Nepali classes?
A. Yes. The calendar is available on the Nepali Pathshala website.
Q 20. Will there be a Waiting List?
A. Yes, a waitlist form is available on the Nepali Pathshala website.
Q 21. Is there a course book?
A. Yes, course books will be provided based on the student’s skill level in Nepali language. A notebook will also be provided. However, returning students are expected to use the books provided last year unless a new level is assigned.
Q 22. Is there a school uniform?
A. We encourage to wear regular school appropriate clothing.
